It not only adds brightness and refinement to the final product but also makes each frame unique. In our workshop, we use <em>mission gilding<\/em>, a precise and versatile technique, along with materials such as imitation gold leaf, copper, and real silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Steps of Mission Gilding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Surface Preparation<\/strong><br>Before starting the gilding process, the mouldings are carefully cleaned and sanded to ensure a smooth and even surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application of the Mission Adhesive <\/strong><br>Mission is a special liquid adhesive that ensures optimal adhesion of the metal leaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is applied evenly to the surface to be gilded using cotton or spray techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After application, it is left to dry for a specific period until it reaches the <em>&#8220;tacky&#8221;<\/em> stage, meaning it becomes sticky enough to hold the metal leaf properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Laying the Leaf<\/strong><br>Once the mission adhesive is ready, the leaf is applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Imitation gold leaf<\/strong> for a warm and elegant glow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Copper<\/strong> for a rustic and original effect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Genuine silver<\/strong> for a sophisticated and modern look.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The leaf is carefully placed with the help of special spatulas, ensuring it adheres perfectly to the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Finishing<\/strong><br>After the application, excess leaf is removed with specific tools to achieve a clean and uniform finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Choose Mission Gilding?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mission gilding is ideal for achieving high-quality results in a reasonable timeframe.
